LO5 Evidence of Post-Production

This is the finalised version of the logo, improved with feedback to enhance the overlook look and feel of the design. The feedback was basically to add brighter colours to create contrast and to help engage more of the target audience. So I put a gradient map of yellow and orange over the top, to make it brighter (these were also the colours suggested to use) and theused a filter of vivid light to create this harsh faded effect that blended the colours well, creating this design. I feel as though this has improved the overall success of the product. I feel as though this specific gradient overlay worked better than any other, as others were too dramatic of a change, where as this was more subtle especially with the help of the filter and changing the opacity.

I did the same with the background design to what I did with the logo, adding the same gradient map overlay with the same filter, but slightly adjusted opacity settings to make it slightly harsher and darker for background designs. This will allow the text and images to stand out more and create more contrast.

I needed to make the background more interesting and contrasted, so I created a texture using the poster filter effect, with the stained glass filter. I feel this allowed for my background to stand out and add contrast against the title and all the text and images. It also allowed the tones and shades of colour to be clearly selected and shown.
I posterized the image background to make abrupt changes to the tones in the background and create a lava effect , to suit the stylistic conventions of the genre and relate to my house style. I feel as though it made the white space more textured and contrasting towards the text and images.

I used the blur tool to make this slight bit of background out of focus, this allowed for this bit of background to stand out against the rest and create contrast. This added a nice effect and allowed the text and images in that box to stand out more because the text and bar code in this area is important information and needs highlighting. I made sure to only blur the area within the shape.
I took the background from the poster that had been posterized then had the stained glass filter applied to it. I placed it on top of my t-shirt then used the magnetic lasso tool to select the vicinity of t-shirt, then I changed the selected layer to that of the background. I then followed on to go onto select, then inverse and then deleted the image surrounding the t-shirt, so the background from the poster only covered the vicinity of the t-shirt and the rest was deleted. This allowed the background to look as though it was put onto the t-shirt.
I changed the image settings of the background to an opacity of 60% and a filter of soft light, which allowed the image to be slightly darker and have a contrasting tone to it.
