LO5 Evidence of Production

The screen grab for my poster design clearly shows evidence of editing, there are many layers to the design including; all the triangles of different colours that added to the fragmented design, the logo text, the dates and acts that are performing on those said dates and the photograph from a concert similar to this one. The things that went well with this design were the fragmented aspect, I like the arrangement of slightly different coloured triangles placed over each other. Also I feel the title is bold and striking and grabs the attention immediately. Although I feel as the dates and text aspect could be improved, as in I could just focus just some of the more well known bands and make that stand out, and therefore have more white space to put focus on the more important elements rather than over crowding and nothing standing out. I also feel as though the logo needs to be part of it, rather than just the same font used, I think the actual logo should be placed somewhere in the poster possibly more centralised? But I feel as though this is a strong design for a mock up of what I wanted, with the right adjustments and improvements it could be a visually strong product.

This clearly shows the creation of the ticket design, with all the different layers and edits. Although this is a very rough mock up (not professional) it clearly shows where I would like things to be placed, and what I would like the layout to be. With the logo font being separated slightly, almost touching and overlapping. Although I feel as though the design doesn't look finished and slightly unprofessional. I like the general layout, as with the other product I feel as though the logo needs to be worked into the design, or the fragmented part of it with all the quakes and cracks. I feel like the font for the text needs to be changed and only one bar code needs to be present. The "Fest 2017" needs to stand out more, the text needs to be bolder and the font needs to be changed. There needs to be a change in the background, as in a corner of the ticket should be slightly darker and show shading, just to add contrast. Other colours need to be incorporated into the design to add contrast, possible orange, yellow or red? Or a blend of all three. But I feel as though this is a good base for my layout.

This a screenshot of the making of the t-shirt design, this is a mock up for the actual product design. There are many layers including the brown background placed over the white shirt, the text separated into different letters and the date just above one of the letters, also the fragmented design on top of the brown background to add interest and contrast. I feel as though the t-shirt design was a success, its close to being the final product, it just needs slight adjustments being made such as a fragmented quaking or cracking emerging from the centre of t shirt, just to make it more visually interesting and possible incorporating the logo somewhere? But I feel it is a strong mock up that just needs editing slightly.

This is the conceptual design for my logo before I brought it into illustrator and added all the cracks and fragmented elements that made it look like an earth quake in the background. I feel the design was successful and doesn't need changing, the bold and illustrative font matches with the genre and the breaking up of the logo adds to the fragmented style. I feel as though the composition and the colours of the background work really well, although a bright colour may need to be added, possible red, orange or yellow? To brighten the design up and add contrast to it also, it may also help create the link to the target audience and appeal to them through bright and bold colours. Because right now the design looks sort of dull and boring, it needs brightening up to add visual interest and contrast.
