LO4 Legal and Ethical

ASA- following the advertising standards agency regulations I will not be allowed to create any products that present my festival as misleading, harmful or offensive and including alcohol. None of the aspects of my festival are misleading, nothing could be interpreted as harmful or offensive and there is no relation to alcohol. The only thing that could be taken as harmful or dangerous is the name 'Quake Fest' but that is solely relating to the stylistic conventions of the genre and isn't mean to connote danger.

There is nothing in any of my products relating to alcohol or even implying that alcohol will be involved, my music festival is based outside a shopping centre and not inside a club and therefore has no implications of alcohol. Even so my audience is 18+ and therefore is of the legal age for alcohol. All music festivals have the implications of drinking, but it is not stated or shown in any of my advertisements.

There is no harm or offense connoted in any of my products, I haven't implied anything violent or dangerous in my advertisements. Although the name of the festival could connote danger; 'Quake Fest' but that is purely because I wanted the name to be recognisable to the genre.

There is nothing misleading in my products, nothing claiming that my music festival is free to attend, or extending the availability of products, I haven't compared my festival to any others.
